Assessment of Student Learning of Operational Procedures in Electromagnetism

چکیده

In the Chinese high school physics curriculum, three operational procedures are introduced in electromagnetism, namely right-hand grip rule, left-hand and rule. This often led to confusion for student differentiate these rules, thus focus on surface characteristics of problem or be misled by unrelated details. study adopts conceptual framework representation model understanding, use it guide design an assessment test electromagnetism. The maps out key concepts their connections within a student’s knowledge structure. this study, tool electromagnetism was developed tested among students college freshmen. Based testing results assessment, have memory behaviors when using rule students’ understanding can summarized into progression levels including novice-like, intermediate-mixed, expert-like. Therefore, order help develop integrated structures deeper cross product is important central idea that needs emphasized instruction.
